Baker, John E., d. 1925.
John E. Baker, a lawyer, came to Alaska in 1897. He worked for the Alaska Commercial Company for many years at Forty-Mile Station, Eagle, Fairbanks, Tanana, the Hotsprings Post, McGrath, and Takotna, where he homesteaded. In 1922, he tried unsuccessfully to be Takotna's independent candidate for the Alaska Territorial Legislature.
