Under the direction of the attorney general, the Environmental Protection Bureau proposes legislation designed to strengthen the state's environmental protection laws. In addition, it initiates legal action to curtail pollution, force compliance with waste clean-up, and to protect endangered wetlands and other critical natural resources.
