The Samuel T. and Fern Yanagisawa Regents Professor of Astronomy at the University of Texas at Austin, J. Craig Wheeler earned his B. S. in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1965 and a doctorate from the University of Colorado in 1969.
