Loyd, Gladys Means, d. 1984.
Gladys Means Loyd was born in Lufkin, Texas, and raised in Caddo Parish, Louisiana. A graduate of Louisiana State University, she taught school in Ida, Louisiana (1919-1921) and in Saint Joseph, Tensas Parish (1941-1963). Cecil Andrew Loyd was a foreman on levee and canal construction sites in Louisiana.
