Grimmett, John Orson, 1923-
Served in the US Army during the war from 1943-1946, and was assigned to the 78th Infantry Division, 311th Regiment. Grimmett served as the company bugler prior to engaging in combat, and was later made a radio messenger for the company commander. He achieved the rank of private first class.
