Studhalter, Richard Arthur, 1887-1958
Variant namesProfessor of botany at Texas Technological College, where he served as the first Chairman of the Department of Biology. In 1934, Studhalter and a group of several others representing Texas Technological College went into Mexico to study the Yaqui Indians. Studhalter's role on the expedition was that of biologist, focusing on botany by studying Yaqui agriculture, plants native to the region, and plants used medicinally.
