Calendar was the Women's Missionary Society/Augustana Lutheran Church Women's (WMS/ALCW) earliest publication. The first issue appeared in 1894. It was published eight more times: 1910, 1913, 1915, 1917, 1919, 1922, 1924, and 1927. Calendar's primary purpose was to provide specific information pertaining to the work of the Women's Missionary Society for a particular time period. Items contained in the publication include yearly reports from WMS President Emmy Evald, conference reports, statistical reports, reports pertaining to foreign and home mission work, conference listings of life members and annual members, and a list of people memorialized through the In Memoriam program. Later issues include listings of synodical and conference officers, treasurer's reports, reports from WMS Departments of Work, and listings of Augustana missionaries and the locations where they were serving.
