Walker, Philip, -1679
Variant namesPhilip Walker ( -1679) emigrated from England and settled in Rehoboth, Mass., as a weaver and saw-mill owner. He became one of the town's wealthiest men and served as constable, surveyor, selectman, deacon, and deputy to Plymouth. He was a private soldier in King Philip's War and contributed much toward the war's financial support.
