Women's American ORT. Florida District.
The Florida District of the Women's American ORT (Organization for Rehabilitation Through Training), a service organization, was created in 1992. It superseded the Southeast District which covered seven states. The national organization was started by five women in New York in 1927. The Florida District was disbanded in May of 1993 and combined into a field committee in order to streamline the administration of the national organization.
