Glass, Virginia Katharine, 1943-1965
Variant namesVirginia Katharine (Jinny) Glass was born in 1943 in Los Angeles, California. In 1964, the summer before her senior year at Pomona College, she served as a volunteer in the Mississippi Freedom Summer Project. She worked at the Palmer's Crossing Community Center south of Hattiesburg as a recreation worker. Glass was killed in an automobile accident in California in February 1965.
