Grand Army of the Republic. Ellis Post No. 6. (Philadelphia, Pa).
General Louis Wagner founded Ellis Post No. 6 in 1879. The Post was active in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century in the Germantown section of Philadelphia. The post dispersed its funds in 1928 to its remaining twenty-two members, which suggests the beginning of the disbanding of the Post.
