Cutter, Walter L.

Walter L. Cutter saw military service with the New Hampshire National Guard as a private, with the 17th U.S. (United States) Infantry Regiment as a private during the Philippine Insurrection, and again in New Hampshire where he became a sergeant and second lieutenant in the 1st New Hampshire National Guard Infantry Regiment. He later served as a sergeant in the 5th Maine National Guard Coast Artillery; the 8th Maine National Guard Coast Artillery; the 18th Coast Artillery Company / Coast Defense Command of Portland, Maine; and in Battery B, 54th U.S. Coast Artillery Regiment.
