Bormann, James W., Jr., 1922-

James W. Bormann, Jr. was born in Stoney Creek, N.Y. in 1922 and enlisted in the Army on November 4, 1942 at New York City. At the time of enlistment he was unmarried, had completed four years of high school and working on a farm. Bormann joined the 10th Mountain Division at Camp Hale, Colo. and was assigned to Company L, 87th Infanty Regiment. He also trained at Fort Ord, Calif. and participated in the Kiska Island invasion on August 14, 1943. After returning to Camp Carson, Colo., Bormann transferred out of the 10th Mountain Division.
