Professor James M. Mahar of University of Arizona's Oriental Studies Dept. is compiler of biographical research collection on Theos Casimir Bernard, graduate of University of Arizona and Columbia University. Bernard was a significant contributor to South Asia religious studies; first Caucasian man admitted to sacred city of Lhasa as well as first initiated into Tibetan-Buddhist priesthood.
