WSIU 8 (Television station : Carbondale, Ill.)

WSIU is a radio station in Carbondale, Illinois. The station is currently owned by Southern Illinois University Carbondale and features programming from American Public Media, National Public Radio, and Public Radio Exchange. WSIU first took to the air on September 15, 1958, as WSRV. It became WSIU in 1960. WSIU produced several radio series distributed by the National Association of Educational Broadcasters, including "A question of art" and "Latin American perspectives".
