University of Iowa
The University of Iowa is a public research university in Iowa City, Iowa. Founded on February 25, 1847, it is the oldest and the second-largest university in the state. Among public universities in the United States, UI was the first to become coeducational and host a department of religious studies; it also opened the first coeducational medical school. It was also the first university to use television in education.
