Hannibal Waterman was a man of African descent who lived in Burlington County, New Jersey. Little is known about Waterman's life outside the fact of his manumission from slavery. In 1737, around the age of 37, Waterman was manumitted by Quaker minister John Hunt of Evesham, New Jersey.
