Variant namesBorn June 3, 1922 in Leavenworth, Washington. Joined the 10th Mountain Division in 1941. Saw action in Kiska as a member of the 87th Infantry. Helped deactivate the 10th Mountain Division in Europe. Held several advisory jobs at the Pentagon. Retired as a Lieutenant Colonel after 33 years of service. Known as "Buster".
