Mauger, Samuel.

Politician and social worker, who formed the National Anti-Sweating League of Victoria in 1880, held positions on the Melbourne Metropolitan Fire Brigades Board from 1883 till his death, was president of the Melbourne Total Abstinence Society and Chairman of the Indeterminate Sentences Board. He entered Federal Parliament in 1901 and was in the Ministry from 1906-1908. He lost his seat in 1910 and retired from politics.
