Regt., and Quartermaster General of S.C., during the Civil War.

Owner of Vaucluse Manufacturing Company near Aiken, S.C.; director, secretary, and treasurer of Graniteville Manufacturing Company, Aiken, S.C., founded by his brother-in-law, William Gregg (1800-1867).
