Schlobin, Roger Clark, 1944-2017

Roger Clark Schlobin (1944-2017) was a college professor, author, and bibliographer who whose teaching and scholarship centered on science fiction and fantasy literature. Schlobin taught primarily at Purdue University and East Carolina University. He was most well known for his work as a critic and editor of science fiction and fantasy works and for his bibliography of the noted female science fiction writer Andre Norton. A significant portion of Schlobin’s work focused on the role of women as authors in the genre of science fiction. He was active in many organizations and societies, most notably among them the International Association for the Fantastic in the Arts.
