Comprised of approximately fifty member organizations, the Iowa ERA Coalition was formed in 1978 to rally support for the state Equal Rights Amendment. Margaret "Peg" Anderson, a longtime Iowa resident who had a varied political career, was the state chairperson and main spokesperson of the Iowa ERA Coalition.
