In 1932 Buchanan & Co (Glasgow & Paisley) Ltd was incorporated under the Companies Act 1929, becoming a limited liability company, with a capital of 11,000 GBP. Isaac King Buchanan was the acting chairman of the company and the same year William Younger & Co Ltd Edinburgh, Scotland, became major shareholders. When Isaac Buchanan died in 1934, Agnes White Kennedy was appointed as a director. The company owned two licensed premises: Halfway House, Paisley Road, Cardonald, Glasgow; and 64 Glasgow Road, Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland. By 1956 two other premises had been acquired: 8 Lawn Street, Paisley; and The Park Hotel, Monkton, South Ayrshire, Scotland. As the Monkton property did not make a sufficient return, it was sold in 1957. In May 1959 the company became a subsidiary of Scottish Brewers Ltd, Edinburgh. The history of the company is unknown from 1964 onwards.
