Whyton, Wally, 1929-1997
Variant namesWally Whyton (1929-1997) was a British musician, songwriter, and radio and TV personality, presenting children's programs in the 1960s, and later folk and country music programs through the 1990s.
Whyton recorded albums of children's and folk songs, including Children's Songs of Woody Guthrie, It's Me, Mum! and Growing Up with Wally Whyton. He also wrote and recorded the conservation anthem, "Leave Them a Flower".
