Borton, Isaac, 1737-1807

Issac Borton was a Quaker, from Gloucester County, New Jersey. Son of John Borton, he was born on the 12th of the 9th month 1737, Old Style (November 23, new style). In 1761 Borton married Mary Hooton, daughter of Samuel Hooton; the couple had eight children together. He was a member of Haddonfield Monthly Meeting and Upper Evesham Monthly Meeting. Borton died September 26, 1807 and was buried at Cropwell (today known as Maple Shade).
