Standish, Frederick Charles, 1824-1883.

Frederick Charles Standish arrived in Australia from England in 1852. He was appointed assistant commissioner of the goldfields at Sandhurst (Bendigo) in 1854 and in 1858 he was appointed chief commissioner of police in Victoria. He died on the 19th March 1883.
