Stewart L. Pomeroy was a student at the University of Florida from 1920 to 1924. He was an engineering student and a member of the football, boxing, and wrestling teams. He attended Duval High School in Jacksonville and played football there before coming to UF. He played halfback. Pomeroy was 5 feet 6 inches, weighed 150 pounds, and was one of the smallest football players on the UF team.
