John Partridge (1686-1717) was born in Hatfield, Mass., and graduated from Harvard College in 1705. He was a schoolteacher in Dedham, Mass., from 1705 to 1707, and Hadley, Mass., from 1707 to 1708, before resuming his studies at Harvard in the Master of Arts program. Partridge elected representative from Hatfield to the General Court, 114 to 1716, and appointed a commissioner on landed securities in 1716.
