Beulah Heights Improvement Club (Oakland, Calif.)
Property owners organization concerned with development of residential area near Mills College, Oakland, Calif. Principal concern was to obtain water supply. Also instrumental in arranging for gas, sewer, electricity and street lighting. Prominent officials were: Christian T. Gutleben, Secretary-Treasurer (an Oakland contractor), Edward P. Myers, Frank E. Hewitt, C. Oatridge, Carrie Pratt Elwell and group's attorney, A. Kazebeer. Important correspondants include: California State Railway Commission, Oakland City Council and Peoples Water Company.
