As representative in the 81st, 82nd, and 83rd General Assemblies, served on the following committees: Counties & Townships (1981-1982); Higher Education (1981-1982); Revenue (1981-1986; Minority Spokesman, 19834-1985); Appropriations II (Minority Spokesman, 1983-1984 and 1985-1986); Public Utilities (1983-1986); and Local Accounting Task Force (1983-1984) as well as the Select Committee on Aging (1985-1986). Also member of Legislative Investigating Commission (1981-1984); Illinois Economic and Fiscal Commission (1983-1984) and Joint Legislative Audit Commission (1985-1986). A member of the Family Support Center Board, Illinois High School Association Advisory Board and Kendall County Historical Society. Lives with wife, Jean, and two sons in Oswego Township.
