Hunnius, Ado, 1842-1923.
Carl Julius Adolph Hunnius served during the Civil War and kept accurate records of his experiences. These included notes, diaries, sketches, and maps. He spent his life in Leavenworth and after the War developed his talents as a writer, poet, and cartographer.
