Paul Edward Nelson was born in Los Angeles, California. He graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science, and from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Master's Degree in City and Regional Planning. Nelson created a consulting firm, Paul Nelson Associates, and worked on a variety of projects, including the Intermountain Power Project and the Utah World Trade Center.

Paul Edward Nelson (1941-2010) was born in Los Angeles, California, to Sylvester and Edna Rich Nelson. He graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science, and from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Master's Degree in City and Regional Planning. He married Karen Lowe in 1965. The couple had four children. Nelson created a consulting firm, Paul Nelson Associates, and worked on a variety of projects, including the Intermountain Power Project and the Utah World Trade Center. He died in Salt Lake City on 9 March 2010.
