Lucy Jane Gregory Marrow (1916-2006) was born in Shanghai, China where her father, Richard Henry Gregory (1876-1955), worked for the American Tobacco Company. In 1934, Marrow returned to North Carolina with her mother, Harriet Arrington Gregory (1878-1960) to attend college (1934). She lived in Tarboro, N.C. later in life.
