Miranda Lux Foundation (San Francisco, Calif.),
Miranda Lux Foundation continues the trust established by the will of Miranda Wilmarth Sheldon (Potter) Lux (1825-1894). Eighteen years after the death of Mrs. Lux, the trust was used to found the Lux School of Industrial Training, which operated in San Francisco from 1908 until 1953. When the school was discontinued, the proceeds from the sale of its plant and equipment were added to the funds in the trust, and in 1955, the name of the trust was changed to the Miranda Lux Foundation.
