Minnesota Women's Meeting.

Hide Profile

The Minnesota Women's Meeting was held in St. Cloud on June 2-5, 1977, as part of a nationwide observance of International Women's Year, under the aegis of the National Commission on the Observance of International Women's Year. As a part of its activities, the meeting selected delegates to the national International Women's Year conference in Houston, Texas, in November, 1977.

The meeting was entirely open, and anyone could register, attend workshop sessions on women's issues, and vote in plenary sessions on the Minnesota Women's questionnaire and resolutions. Some organizations encouraged registration by their memberships. It was estimated by administrative staff of the meeting that approximately seventy to eighty percent of the meeting held strongly feminist views.
