Sheely, Roy M.

Roy M. Sheely served in the United States Army Air Force during World War II. He graduated from Squadron S, 327th Army Air Force Base Unit, Drew Field, Tampa, Florida, on 9 September 1944 and served as a crewmember on a B-17 bomber assigned to the 398th Bombardment Group. His aircraft was shot down over the Netherlands. Sheely was captured by German forces and was a prisoner of war (POW) at Stalag Luft III until the end of the war.
