Nindemann, William Friedrich Carl, 1850-1913
William Friedrich Carl Nindemann (b. April 22, 1850, Gingst, Germany-d. May 16, 1913, Hollis, Queens County, New York), was a member of three Arctic expeditions: Polaris Expedition, 1871-1873; the Jeannette Expedition, 1879-1881, of which he was among a small number of survivors, and; the rescue party for the Greely Expedition, 1883-1884.
