Adolph Dressler (b. 1857-d. October 29, 1881, Lena Delta, Russia), Seaman, was a crew member of the USS Jeannette which was crushed by ice and sank June 6, 1881, in the Arctic Sea north of Siberia while undertaking an expedition to find the "Polar Sea". The cruise had originated at San Francisco, California, on July 8, 1879. He was originally buried with other crew members just north of Bulun on the Lena River delta, but later removed and buried in Woodlawn Cemetery in the Bronx, New York.
