Walter Henry Watts

Walter Henry Watts was born in 1776. Educated in England he developed his skills as a miniature painter there. Between 1808 and 1830 Watts exhibited miniatures at the Royal Academy in London. In 1803, he was appointed parliamentary reporter at the Morning Post, joining the Morning Chronicle in 1813 in the same capacity. He continued to act as a parliamentary reporter until 1840, during which time he edited the Annual Biography and Obituary from its commencement in 1817 until 1831. He died in London on 4 January 1842.
