Variant namesThis booklet, published in 1986, gives information about paintings in BYU's collection. Some of these paintings, although they were masterpieces, were never able to be displayed because BYU lacked proper facilities. This booklet was meant to cast light on this problem and to raise support for a Museum of Art at BYU.

The Brigham Young University Museum of Art first opened in 1993, and has become one of the largest art museums in the Intermountain West. Its permanent collection includes over 16,500 objects, including many pieces representing the work of Utah artists.
