Christian leader and businessman; born James Elwin Wright on July 8, 1890; influential founder and/or leader in organizations dedicated to cooperation between conservative Protestant Evangelicals on a national (United States) or international level, such as the New England Fellowship, the National Association of Evangelicals, and the World Evangelical Fellowship; died June 29, 1973.
