Darrow, George M. (George McMillan), 1889-1983
Variant namesGeorge McMillan Darrow (1889-1983), who was known as the foremost American authority on strawberries, worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture for 46 years (1911-1957) as a pomologist and small fruits breeder. Among Darrow's contributions to pomology were the domestication and introduction of the Darrow blueberry.
