Hutchinson-Central High School (Buffalo, N.Y.)

The school was known as Central School from 1854 to 1883, Buffalo High School from 1884 to 1896, and Central High School from 1897 to 1913. In 1913 the school, formerly at Court and Franklin Streets, occupied a new building on South Elmwood Avenue and became Hutchinson-Central High School. Frederick A. Vogt was principal of the school from 1893 to 1919; his wife, Sophie, whom he married in 1918, was formerly a teacher at the school.
