Bay Area American Christians Toward Socialism.
Historical Note
This is the local chapter of a national organization. In their brochure, American Christians Toward Socialism describe those who join as "people who come from the Christian tradition of active involvement in social concerns and have become convinced that Socialism is the necessary economic and political framework for beginning to deal with the fundamental human problems of our time." ACTS provides support "a) by insisting on critical reflection by the grouop as a whole; and b) by mobilizing one another for effective action."
