National Conference of Synagogue Youth
Variant namesThe National Conference of Synagogue Youth (NCSY) was founded by the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America (OU) in 1954 in order to encourage passionate Judaism among Jewish youth, primarily ages 14-18, through innovative social, recreational and educational programming. By 1962, there were NCSY chapters in 150 synagogues across the United States, and today NCSY reaches thousands of teenagers each year throughout North America and several other countries.
