Harvard's Chief Marshal for Commencement is the person who leads the entire alumni body on Commencement Day; it is a position of honor whose occupant traditionally is a member of the twenty-fifth reunion class. The nominating committee is composed of members of that class. The Chairman of the Class of 1923's Nominating Committee for Chief Marshal was Bertram K. Little.
