Jewish Clevelander who promoted patriotism through his participation in patriotic associations and promotion of political candidates such as Harold H. Burton. Gutter was a member of the Spanish-American War Veterans Garrison Camp No. 4, Post No. 14 Jewish War Veterans, and the Patriotic Civic Association of Collinwood.
