Round, George
George S. Round served as the director of the University of Nebraska public relations office from 1945 to 1973. Round was born in Ord, Nebraska, and received a B.S. in agriculture from the University of Nebraska. He began his professional career at the University in 1933 as the agriculture extension editor. Round assisted in the establishment of radio programs and two television programs, including "University Speaks" and "Backyard Farmer." The latter is still aired on Nebraska Educational Television and Radio. Round died in March 1992 at 84 years.
