Asa John Wyatt was born 10 February 1829, enlisted in Company I, 21st Virginia Infantry Rehgiment from Pittsylvania County, Va. He rose from private to sergeant and was killed in the Battle of Cedar Mountain, 9 August 1862.

Asa John Wyatt (1829-1862) was a Confederate officer in Company I, 21st Regiment, Virginia Infantry, and fought in northern Virginia and the Shenandoah Valley. Wyatt was wounded at the Battle of Cedar Run on 9 August 1862 and died the next day.
