Vallette family.
James Vallett, Sr., came to Middlebury, Vt., from Connecticut in around 1815 with his son (by his first wife), John, and his children (by his second wife) Russell, James, and Hoppolonia. John and Russell became businessmen in Middlebury, while James appears to have had business interests in Middlebury and Rochester, N.Y. Hoppolonia married Epaphras Allen Miller and moved to Rochester, N.Y. The name is generally spelled without a final "e" in the earlier years and with it later.
